About the WHVA

The Washington Hospitality and Visitors Association began as a small group of local business owners discussing ways to encourage tourism to the town of Washington and Rappahannock County while at the same time preserving its charm and small town appeal.  With the help of many local business residents and volunteers the WHVA was officially formed in July of 2005.

Our mission: To preserve and promote the unique cultural and historic heritage, retail and dining offerings, and local hospitality of Washington, Virginia, while creating a vibrant town atmosphere.

Membership is open to any business in the town of Washington and also to businesses in Rappahannock County. Yearly membership dues to assist in carrying out our mission are as follows:

Membership dues are $125 per year. These dues are based on the Fiscal Year July 1 - June 30.
